Monetizing a rat instagram account?
Posted by seohelper on October 9, 2020 at 12:29 pmHi! A couple of months ago I started a instagram account about rats. Currently I have almost 6000 followers. Any ideas on how to monetize it? Now and in the future. Thank you 🙂

GuestOctober 9, 2020 at 12:54 pmI don’t know anything about the rat or rat related industries. But usually there is an opportunity promote *something*. Rat food or supplies?

GuestOctober 9, 2020 at 1:46 pmIf you’re in USA you can challenge a CEO of a rat infestation control company to a wrestling match.
As much as I know Americans, they would lap up tickets to that show in no time.
Then you can open a pop-up stand and sell merch T-shirts, figurines etc.

GuestOctober 9, 2020 at 2:59 pmIf you have any ideas on cute rat phrases or designs, you could pay a designer like $20 to create it for you, and then set up a free Redbubble account, upload the designs, then your following could buy them on shirts, masks, stickers, etc. and you can set your profit margin. Print on Demand ??

GuestOctober 9, 2020 at 3:09 pmI have 140k page with 9% engagement rate and I find it hard to monetize. So, good luck.

GuestOctober 9, 2020 at 3:43 pmSmall animal supply websites or even the big guys like Petsmart or Petco might be interested in sponsored posts. Also look for other small animal accounts with big followings and see what kind of collabs/sponsored posts they’re doing.

GuestOctober 9, 2020 at 4:18 pmKeep growing it, once you have a few thousand impressions on each story, start contacting boutique pet brands to see if they’d like to advertise.
Message me if you have more questions, I work with a lot of brands that do this.

GuestOctober 9, 2020 at 6:12 pmHonestly, I started monetizing at 100 followers. I’m an Instagram coach full time, and make my income almost entirely from IG.
When it comes to your page, merch might be your best bet. If you already have a brand going with your rat page, then create products based on that brand. If there’s a specific rat that went viral, make a shirt out of that.
You could also pair with brands. If you have 6k, it should be pretty easy to pair with brands that are in the 10k-100k range. Most brands are actually looking for microinfluencers rather than big influencers because of a better engagement rate and a closer connection to followers. Try hitting up smaller pet brands, but you could even hit up bigger ones if you want. Remember, the worst they can say is no.
Let me know if you need additional help. Shoot me a DM!

No one likes rats. Loyalty is everything.
Lol on a serious note…no idea but good luck.

GuestOctober 9, 2020 at 10:03 pm– sell advertising spots by promoting products or services on your account
– do shout outs (^ similar)
– sell rat related products (eg physical products) by using affiliate marketing or by reselling them (e.g. dropshipping)
– produce your own rat related products and sell them
– create information or digital products about taking care of rats, training rats.. anything related
– sell services teaching other people how to take care of rats, …Just some options.
