Lost a PPC client after being honest… but was it actually a win?

I recently told a client the reality about their PPC expectations and results. They didn't like it and decided to leave. It felt like a loss at first, but honestly it also feels like I avoided bigger problems down the line.
Do you think being honest in PPC helps attract better clients in the long run?

Yes absolutely. Taking client who don’t have realistic expectations and don’t know about the system are only headache. You have done right

    You’re not Gandolf.

You’re a paid buyer, if he doesn’t like a down to earth analysis with real expectations and timelines, he can go hire someone else.

At that point he’s someone else’s problem.

That’s why I do a fairly extensive discovery call and typically a paid audit before onboarding a new client.

Can set their expectations, gauge their personality and decision making, business model etc before going too far.
