  • Looking to break into the SEO space while working a full time job, any advice?

I’m working a full time job that very much keeps me occupied but I plan on leaving in a year and I want to build an SEO based profession for myself… I’m not sure where to start, Linkedin? UpWork? I have done lots of research and field experimenting so I think I can take on a SEO client on my own, but I’m just looking for any paid experience. I’d appreciate any help 🙂

Have a portfolio and a strategy that works for the type of client BEFORE you charge, otherwise you’re essentially charging for not knowing how to do something…..

You might be confident that you can help anyone – but clearly different sites in different markets with different levels of authority have different requirements.

    > Linkedin

You need a special strategy to win clients on Linkedin unless you have a referral network

    > I have done lots of research

Havbe you built and ranked a website and added or created buying business? If not, I’d argue you haven’t done research – you’ve been reading but 50% of SEO content out there is misinformation and maybe 25% is intentional disinformation .

Awesome idea, I like SEO it took me a while to learn and as you probably already know the SEO can become complicated a little bit because Google always comes out with something new.

Keep putting yourself out there, maybe even create your own website showing when people are searching you have the potential popping up on the search engines. You can also put yourself on fiver and then launch your fiver account.

Use the tools designed for SEO they are awesome. Keep pushing forward.

To break into SEO while working full time, start by building a personal website to showcase your skills and document your learning journey. Engage with SEO communities on platforms and consider offering services on freelance platforms to gain practical experience.

I want to do the same, I’ve been asking for advice here and there, and people keep telling me the same: Build your own website with a niche and from there, what to learn, make an offer to people in the same niche.
