Hello, I'm a photographer and did my own SEO a long time ago, but have let it languish since and I'm overwhelmed and don't really have the time to do it myself anymore. But searching for an SEO company that is good, is proving equally daunting. I can't really tell if companies are any good, there are so many companies out there. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to start or specific companies to check out? I probably need a website overhaul too…

    Thanks in advance!

One of the best things you can use AI to do is summarize the advice given to the same question on this sub before.

    Some prompts you should use:

    * what advice does r/seo give on reddit about hiring an seo and questions to ask
    * what advice does weblinkr give on reddit about hiring an seo and questions to ask

Well, you are about to be spammed by tons of requests, but to clear things out, you need to answer some questions.

    – What kind of photographer are you? ( Wedding, events, corporate, nature, all in one )
    – What’s your current GsC stats?
    – What’s your biggest customer acquisition channel as of now?
    – Is your business local or do you cover other locations as well?
    – What’s your location ( if local )
    – What’s your budget?

Depending on your answers, the strategies could go either way round.

I’d recommend you narrow do your search based on your budget, location, and the previous experinece of the agency.

Here’s what I usually tell others looking for an SEO agency here:

    – Look for month to month contracts to begin to ensure the right fit
    – Consider their timezone and communication options to make sure you’re on the same page
    – Ask them for case studies – how did they accomplish their results and how would they help you?
    – Ask about their team and who you will be speaking with regularly
    – Discuss your specific targets before the project begins, as this can be the foundation to the goals at various stages.
