  • LinkedIn profile views vs Instagram reel views – which one actually feels more satisfying?

    Hey guys,

    Quick question.

A few months ago I used to post on LinkedIn around 1–2 times a week, and my profile would average around 340+ views.

On Instagram, whenever I post reels they usually get around 2K views.

But honestly… those Instagram numbers never really gave me any real satisfaction.

Two days ago I posted something on LinkedIn and it got only ~45 profile views, and weirdly that felt more meaningful to me than thousands of Instagram views.

Maybe it’s because LinkedIn views feel more intentional or relevant to what I’m building.

Am I the only one who feels this way, or do others also find LinkedIn engagement more satisfying than Instagram numbers?

you’re not wrong. linkedin views are people who actually looked at your profile on purpose. instagram views are mostly people swiping past your reel in 1.5 seconds.

45 profile views on linkedin probably means 45 real humans in your industry checked you out. 2k reel views means maybe 200 people watched past 3 seconds.

i stopped comparing numbers across platforms entirely. 10 linkedin comments from people in my space > 50 instagram comments that are just fire emojis.

Instagram views often just mean someone scrolled past your reel for a second or two. It’s mostly passive attention. A LinkedIn profile view is a different action. Someone saw your post, got curious, clicked your profile, and probably checked what you do. So even if the number is smaller, it feels more meaningful because there’s actual intent behind it, not just algorithm traffic.
