    Congratulations! You have to start somewhere. My first clients paid me very little as well, I didn’t have the standalone portfolio that allowed me to charge more. I wish I would have thought to make my rates scale with results, way back then.

    Congratulations on getting your first client and getting them to rank that’s the first step you really need to start growing.

    You mentioned you had cold called a lot of companies to try and acquire clients, have you found companies being difficult to close? Do you have experience in sales?

    Are courses for google adwords, digital marketing and seo on udemy legit? Legit in the sense of helping you polish your skills in that area. Also curious, how did you get started? Did you build up a website for him? Or did you just audit his existing website?
