  • Landed My Second Client, Maybe SEO Might Be For Me?

    Hey Everyone,

First off I would like to thank all of you guys for keeping me motivated and spreading positivity. When I started a few weeks ago I told you all about how I lost my internship and just didn’t know where I was going. Then I told you about how I saved up all my money to buy my mentor’s course. After endless nights of studying, I was finally confident enough to cold call for hours about my business and landed my first client. You guys were there for that too, but now I have actually landed a second client and I’m starting to rethink maybe SEO might be for me long term. Originally I started this as a way to bring in extra income during a time where jobs might be few and far in between; however, I feel really confident in my abilities lately. Maybe it’s just beginner’s luck, but I feel the knowledge the course has given me about digital marketing mixed with the idea of being my owner business owner could be something I want to do long term. But once again thank you all so much, I’ll continue to keep you updated on my journey.

If you’re willing to cold call, sales might be more for you. SEO is the easy part. Getting clients is 1000 times more difficult.

Can you share the course link in my dm? I am currently going through a toxic internship program with no new learning.

    Thanks in advance.

    Best of luck

Congrats man. Once your SEO income replaces your 9-5 income (or whatever your current job is), then it’s definitely worth going solo IMO

Nice man. It’s taken me 2 years to nail down 4 clients. Can I ask you about pricing? Mind if I DM you? Let me know, I’d appreciate your insights here too 🙂

I have to say, after doing this for 20 years and spending the past self-employed I’ve found it has been easier to sell SEO since the pandemic started.

Not only is it easier, I’m finding my new clients are also more willing to spend the money.

I remember when I first started on my own pitching SEO for $150/month and visiting clients at their million dollar homes, driving their 100k trucks complaining that $150/month was too much.

But now, I’ve found clients more receptive to paying a proper amount to get good SEO since Covid. I’ve talked to a few other people I know who are experiencing the same.

But at the same time I also know about a few other SEO firms that did midnight moves and broke leases because they couldn’t sell their WAY overpriced services.
