Keyword research in foreign languages

I am fairly new to SEO. I localize websites and blog posts into French and my clients usually want the content to be SEO optimized so I need to conduct keyword research.
I have been reading articles on how to do it but I am wondering if there are any things to consider when conducting keyword research for foreign languages? -

Not sure of the program name, but Neil Patel has a tool for this. Also, WordPress plugins offer some dynamic language changes with reasonable accuracy
