DoFollow links are among the most impactful and sought after ranking signals. So yes, significant advantage. Make or break it advantage.

Unless you’re a message board or a social media platform, blindly making ALL links nofollow is a bad idea.
The thing is- your site gets value by linking out to other sites too. Think of it like an academic paper. Your dofollow links are “sources”. If you have sources in your article, Google knows you’ve done your research.
