  • Is there a way to extract comments from a Facebook post?

Posted by seohelper on November 29, 2020 at 9:05 pm

So I’m trying to study interactions on a public Facebook page for a university project, and I would like to know if there’s a tool that could help me extract comments from a few Facebook posts so I can have them on an Excel sheet for example.

Do you have any idea of a tool that can help me with this? I don’t mind if I have to pay for it!

    Thanks a lot!

AgoraPulse. Most diverse export system available unless you’re paying for Zapier and have additional paid integrations.

Source: I deal with this and this is my solution, but I also have a paid Zapier account, but I don’t use it for Agora.

I would try to look into Integromat. From what I’m seeing, you could set up a scenario that watches the comments and whenever there’s a new one, it gets sent to e.g. Google Sheets/Airtable. Not sure how much data you’ll be processing but you might actually be able to do this on the free plan. There’s a scheduling feature so you can have the integration run on a regular basis. There are also various filters that let you manipulate data – e.g. comments by user A get sent into Sheet A whereas comments by user B get sent to Sheet B.
