Is my website hit with a site-wide penalty by Google? I publish an article it gets picked up by Bing, Yahoo, Yandex, duckduckgo, but not Google
Posted by on September 15, 2025 at 4:01 amI noticed I barely get any views on Google, like 12 visits today, I got 1500 visits from Bing, 400 from Bing and 350 from Yandex.
When I publish an article I copy and paste the link in search and if it doesn appear in google, I check search console and it says crawled but not indexed. Its very strange really because I copy and post the link after publishing the new article into Bing and the article appears in featured.
Does this mean I have a sitewide penalty from Google? Ive read some people claim that Google has so many websites that once they hit you with a classifier or label as spam or whatever by a human quality rate that site is good as dead in Google and has ZERO chance of recovery. They dont want to be wasted since there are millions of websites.
I dont want to tamper with my site because its getting some traffic from Bing and other searches, just not Google. In fact I haven't got much traffic from google for 3 and half years. If I get traffic its like 10 to 25 visits total a day. very minimal.

Doesn’t sound like a “penalty,” more like Google just isn’t finding your site worth indexing right now. Could be technical (crawl budget, duplicate content, thin pages) or quality signals. Bing is usually less strict, which explains the difference. I’d check Search Console coverage reports and maybe do a content/technical audit before assuming it’s sitewide.
