Is IG penalising me? I’ve gained thousands of followers by engagement keeps falling
Posted by on October 11, 2020 at 1:42 pmI launched my business last year and seem to get even less likes per post now than I did when I started.
2019: launched instagram, had 120 followers, used to get 20-25 likes per post.
2020: Ran instagram ads for over a year, amassed over 5000 followers from running conversion ads in Ads Manager as well as influencer posts. Now my posts struggle to get 20 likes.
I dont have any/very few fake followers
Since the start I have had 5 accounts (other businesses that I run) and whenever I post I give them a like on each of my other accounts. Do you think IG is aware of this and is penalising me? WTF is going on?

You bought their attention you didn’t earn it.
When someone else tells them to follow you, they are just as easy influenced you unfollow.
Your followers weren’t fake but they might as well have been.
Your content is meaningless to them so they don’t like and then IG thinks the same and thus don’t bother showing your posts.
So you penalized yourself ultimately.

Your content seems way generic, the text is boring. That’s why you aren’t getting engagement.
