    Instagram’s “book appointments” button: is it available worldwide, or just in the US?

    (Not sure if this question falls under the “Help Desk” category. Apologies in advance).

    As we know, Facebook has now a booking appointments tool to add to your page, for services like hair salons, etc. I’ve been looking around, and found some information in a blog that claimed that this button can be added now to Instagram too.

    (I’m not talking about the IG feature where you can add a Call to Action button for an external booking scheduling service like Booksy, Shore, etc., In this case, we’re talking about booking through IG and have the appointment appear in your Facebook bookings tool).

    The problem is that I’ve been trying it and it doesn’t work. I connected my Facebook page to my IG business account, set up the bookings tool in FB, set up dates and products… The “Book appointment” button shows up in my FB page, but not in my IG, nor I can find any way to add it. When I try to edit my IG profile and add a call to action button, the only options I get are still the external providers.

    So perhaps this was a beta that IG later removed, or maybe this feature hasn’t been rolled out to my country yet (I’m in Europe). Which is it? Are you guys using this feature? Is there any official information from Facebook about the countries in which this is active?
