Is anyone losing followers on Instagram for no reason and out of nowhere? One of my accounts has been losing followers or staying at the same number of followers for 3 months now. We were growing by 300 per day on average. Asking for a friend…

Yup. I’m down from 12.2k to 11.7k. My content is still very similar.

Maybe they are removing more bots.

I’m gaining steadily on all 3 of my accounts. (But none of them are in the thousands. How do people even get those numbers organically? If you know the answer, someone please tell me.)

Same, like for no good reason, and for some days the numbers will randomly increase although I’m not gaining, Instagram is annoying

When I was aggressively trying to grow followers I noticed a lot of fake accounts and follow back and then unfollow you accounts. I once even followed an account, they unfollowed me. They proceeded to follow me back again to get me back, just to unfollow me once more.

In the end I try to foster a healthy following of people who genuinely like my product. At the end of the day instagram is a social platform. So it’s all about comments and likes from your posts. I’ve seen so many accounts with 100,000+ followers but they barely receive likes or comments on their posts. Which can look like bots following you. Then you get up to a 1000 or more followers accounts with active, engaging and loyal followers that genuinely are excited about you. This Makes your account look legit and active. This is what instagram likes.

My account has over 100k followers (dog theme) that I’ve had for 4yrs. I’ve seen such and up in down with my reach and impressions lately. 100k reach to 300-400k impressions and the highest at 350K+ reach and 950k impressions in 30-60day window. Anyone experiencing this? I haven’t changed my format much outside of now using Later to help with postings.

I have several accounts – mostly for business and I haven’t posted on any of them for weeks. I step aside when the mob takes over and that’s what’s happening there now.

Usually, Instagram is deleting the bots. Or the bots move on. On my private account I got somehow 40 new bot followers which where moving after a couple of months silently till no one was left.

Yes I had the same issue. I started a new account due to it, just because the constant loss and low engagement was real bad for my motivation
