Instagram Partner Highlights Removed

The long short of it is the brand I manage is running a promotion with another brand. We spent A Lot of money on this partnership. Part of this partnership includes events at different stops along the way. We have been using highlights to create “chapters” of each event in our partnership, but after logging on yesterday only the stories we posted were included, but all our partner’s stories were no longer part of our highlight.
I’m open to the possibility I am wrong, but I’m also pretty sure they were still part of our highlight even though the normal 24 window had passed by a long shot.
Also, their stories reposted to our story/ highlight no longer appear in our archive. Has anyone else had this problem or have a solution?
