  • Instagram Notification “your post looks like branded content” on my giveaway post?

Posted by seohelper on January 1, 2021 at 5:21 am

I run an art account, and I decided to host a giveaway where the prize is a movie scenery fan art I painted.

Instagram notified me saying that “Your post looks like branded content. Tag your business partner to show that it’s a paid partnership.”

Do I have to tag the movie studio for this? Will I get suspended on Instagram if I don’t?
I created the painting myself, and I am also not making money off of it.
    Thank you for your help!

They’re saying the language used sounds like you are working with someone, that’s all.
If it’s not a paid partnership, do not tag someone.

And on this, you should do some reading on copyright. Making money or not is not what decides if you are breaching someone else’s copyright/trademarks.

But on the social media part, it’s the words you used that triggered it.
DM me a link to the post or the copy you used and I’ll let you know what likely did it.
