    Hey everyone,

I'm an app developer from India. I built a habit tracker app and star. My first two reels went viral organically — and then Instagram disabled my account, labeling it as "fake."

    What happened:

Posted original educational content about habit tracking
2 reels went viral with organic engagement
Account suddenly disabled — labeled as fake
No specific policy violation was ever communicated to me
What I've done so far (30 days):

    ✅ Completed video selfie verification
    ✅ Submitted 10+ appeals — ALL auto-closed or rejected
✅ Tried manual review requests — nothing
✅ Filed grievance with Meta's India Grievance Officer
✅ Filed complaint on CPGRAMS (MeitY)
✅ Posted on Twitter tagging @instagram and @maborjr
Zero response. Zero human review. 30 days.

It feels like Instagram punishes small creators who grow too fast. My content was 100% original and educational — helping people build better habits. No bots, no purchased engagement, nothing shady.

Has anyone successfully gotten their account back after this? What actually worked for you?

    Any advice is appreciated.

Try escalating through Meta’s creator or business support by linking a Facebook Page or ad account to access live chat and submit your ID for a manual review
Document every appeal with timestamps, ask followers to raise the issue publicly, and if you’re in the EU consider a GDPR automated-decision complaint to push for a human review

Leave meta platforms! They are oversaturated anyways.

You can go to newer platforms like [floods](https://floods.tv) where you’re more likely to be seen instead of competing with others for views.

There’s also loops (tik tok) and booster videos (YouTube) alternatives.

Was the information in the video fake? Did someone or an army of viewers reported your video as fake?
