Instagram disabled my account after my educational reels went viral — 30 days, 10+ appeals, zero human review. What else can I do?
Hey everyone,
I'm an app developer from India. I built a habit tracker app and star. My first two reels went viral organically — and then Instagram disabled my account, labeling it as "fake."
What happened:
Posted original educational content about habit tracking
2 reels went viral with organic engagement
Account suddenly disabled — labeled as fake
No specific policy violation was ever communicated to me
What I've done so far (30 days):✅ Completed video selfie verification
✅ Submitted 10+ appeals — ALL auto-closed or rejected
✅ Tried manual review requests — nothing
✅ Filed grievance with Meta's India Grievance Officer
✅ Filed complaint on CPGRAMS (MeitY)
✅ Posted on Twitter tagging @instagram and @maborjr
Zero response. Zero human review. 30 days.It feels like Instagram punishes small creators who grow too fast. My content was 100% original and educational — helping people build better habits. No bots, no purchased engagement, nothing shady.
Has anyone successfully gotten their account back after this? What actually worked for you?
Any advice is appreciated.
