Increase pmax +10% = 90% less conversions

Wondering why when I increased my pmax budget by 10% my conversions have dropped 90%, to 2-per-day for the last 7 days, compared to 10-20 conversions per day before for the last 2 months straight…
I spend $250 on ads per day and this makes my ROAS 0.5 now…which is unsustainable.
How can I navigate this absolute headache of pmax?
It doesn’t seem to be in “learning phase” either
