In Google Search Console, does one search give multiple impressions if multiple pages from my site appear?
I’m trying to understand how Google Search Console counts impressions.
Let’s say someone searches “best pizza in Chicago”, and two of my pages appear in that same search:
- my homepage (myrestaurant.com)
- a blog post (myrestaurant.com/blog/best-pizza-toppings)
In that single search, does GSC record two impressions (one for each page)?
Or just one total impression for that query, even though multiple pages from my domain showed up?Basically I want to know if one search equals one impression per query, or if multiple URLs from the same site can each get credited separately.
If anyone can confirm with a reliable source or firsthand testing, that would help a lot. TIA
