I’m thinking to narrowly about audiences for my campaigns

Hey guys, I’m very new to Facebook ads and had limited success with Amazon ppc.

I am having a hard time thinking of relevant audiences for my product. I’d say what my product is but it’s a small clothing niche.

Let’s say my product is specifically for people with small feet. How would you go about finding relevant audiences? Right now I’m doing the equivalent to running audiences like shoes, walking , running , etc.

Am I thinking about this the right way? Should I be testing other audiences that might not seem as relevant? Maybe I could expand like people who are into marathons, hiking, skiing, etc.

Is this the right way to be thinking about testing audiences for a product that is super specific. Right now it feels like my cpm is high because my audiences are too broad but maybe that’s just how it goes with products like this. Insight of any kind would be helpful.

Perhaps I didn’t understand your problem, but from what I understood you don’t seem to have a well-defined persona. Having little feet makes your audience too broad. Before wasting money on a conversion campaign I’d try to discover who’s actually interested in my product and then build an audience.

Your targeting should be carried out in your messaging. Best going very broad with expanded audiences and make sure your ad creative speaks to the people you want to make customers
