I’m Ranking #1 on Duck Duck Go For Multiple KW’s!! Is this a sign I might rank on Google soon??!
Posted by seohelper on January 29, 2021 at 7:21 pmI was super excited and surprised to see I was ranking #1 on Duck Duck Go + Bing … Obviously Google can take longer to get traction but I’m hoping perhaps this is a good sign I might be on my way to getting on the front page of Google?
I have followed SEO strategy to the T and have the BEST content on the net for my niche.
Have been slaving away for months, all I want is succcesss
Would love some thoughts on this,
Cheers

GuestJanuary 29, 2021 at 7:31 pmDuck duck go’s algorithm is different. Yeah, it’s somewhat of a good sign, but Google considers a lot more things.

GuestJanuary 29, 2021 at 8:34 pmI think I understood DDG anonymizes Bing results. Check to see if your #1 on bing too.
And fuck google btw, I see more and more referrers from DDG and other search engines every month.

GuestJanuary 29, 2021 at 9:27 pmBing and duck duck Go use the same algorithm. It’s not a bad sign, but Google’s algorithm is completely different so it definitely doesn’t give you any guarantees.
For some context, I rank #1 for some keywords on Google and I am page 3 on Bing. Vice versa as well. My competitors will rank #1 on Bing but be on page 3 on Google. Really shows how big of a difference there is between the two algorithms. So don’t get your hopes up to high or rely on Bing for this type of information.

GuestJanuary 29, 2021 at 10:16 pmHow different is your research and implementation compared to google vs else? Any good tips?
I have completely switched to ddg from a user experience.

GuestJanuary 30, 2021 at 4:40 amOh no.
I was also super excited to see my pages in DDG and Bing.
But Google’s algorithm is different. Probably RankBrain is something that is making Google search results more intent focused instead of keywords and links.
Try searching for long-tail versions of your Keywords. Probably you’ll see your results in Google.

GuestJanuary 30, 2021 at 7:26 amIt’s a good start and now you need to work on the technical SEO part with some great Backlinks to see the visibility in Google. All the best.

GuestJanuary 30, 2021 at 7:59 amI remember getting ranked #1 on bing and duckduckgo for several keywords. But in the past year, I have come to notice how different Google’s algorithms are different and a cut above the rest. Even though I target very long-tail keywords, Google still doesn’t rank me on the first page for all of them. I believe it’s because of authority. Because I don’t have better backlinks for my site, I believe Google will never rank me on #1, no matter how easy keywords I target. Though that’s not the case with other search engines.
Anyway, Congrats bro. Getting ranked #1 on any search engine for the first time will be a huge boost to your morale. Keep adding content regularly and you will even be able to crack the #1 spot on Google for multiple keywords.

GuestJanuary 30, 2021 at 8:35 amDo not trust in Google much. Google is obiviously ranking high earned traffic websites with adsense, fake backlink, thorugh a massive bot network. A bot network that consists of real people but they just look around in a website pretending to be a visitor. Imagine India has 1.4 billion population so these people might get money for each visit. That is my claim.

GuestJanuary 30, 2021 at 9:54 amYah it’s really nice but google’s algorithm is totally different. So, to get a proper ranking in Google you have to work hard.

GuestJanuary 30, 2021 at 11:32 amI rank very well on Google, #1 for quite a few search terms. Conversely, I rank poorly on the Bing network. No idea why, but it shows they’re quite different and ranking on one doesn’t mean ranking on the other.

GuestJanuary 30, 2021 at 12:11 pmRecently DDG passed 100 Million searches per day – so its growing and the traffic possibilities for bloggers like us is being huge someday.
Regarding ranking – I would say — you are too close to rank on Google as well….probably not on the first position like DDG but somewhere on the first page. I see such pattern across most of my domains these days.

GuestJanuary 30, 2021 at 1:21 pmNo. Because Google is based on quality and this search engine is only on link and other tricks.
They are completely different worlds.
I rank on the first page of Google for dozens of keywords (between position 3 and 6) and the first reference I find on this search engine is at position 55.
