  • If i block someone on twitter does it delete our DMs?

sooooo without getting too personal, I just DMed someone on twitter and *instantly* regretted it, and panic blocked them before they could read it. I’m told that if you block someone before they actually read what you’ve sent them it deletes the message, is this true?

No in my experience of being blocked they can still see the message, but I bet whatever you said isn’t as bad as you think it is!

Once a message has been sent you can’t do much about it as far as I know.

What was the gist of the message? It might fe time to brainstorm damage control.

No, the message is not deleted. They will still be able to view it and it will remain in their DM history.

A friend thought this recently so we tested it. When blocked the DM can still be seen

whenever i clicked on the DM it just said ‘sent’ and not ‘read’ and apparently if i blocked them before they read it it and then unblock them later it stops them from seeing it
