I want to expand my Marketing skillset and learn Digital.

To keep things concise, I have been in Marketing working in Branding, Strategy, and Campaign Management for around 5 years. But recently, I found myself itching to challenge myself and learn everything related to Digital Marketing. So I am here today asking for your help and guidance to the best online resources where I can learn and understand SEO.

If you already have a strategy background, you are in a good spot because SEO rewards structured thinking more than tactics alone. I would start with understanding how search engines work, intent, crawling, indexing, and ranking, before touching tools. A lot of people jump straight into keyword lists and miss the why behind them. Case studies and teardown style posts in this sub are honestly some of the best learning material once the basics click. Also, try applying what you learn to a small site or side project, even a simple one, because SEO makes way more sense when you see tradeoffs play out over time. The hardest part is patience, not complexity.

Since you already have marketing experience, you can jump straight into SEO and digital campaigns. I’d suggest starting with free courses then try applying what you learn on a small project or blog to see it in action.
