When you don’t go over your total budget, it makes it a WHOLE lot easier to explain. Ideally, it sounds like you would have wanted to allocate your budget evenly over the time you’re running it. But at the end of the day, whether you spent it over 3 days or 30 days, the client is still going to end up with essentially the same X number of impressions and X number of clicks for X spend. Whether you got in front of that many people in a week or four weeks, as long as your targeting is good and the audience is relevant, it’s going to look identical when all is said and done.

Everyone makes mistakes. Own up to it, apologize, and set yourself up in the future with reminders. Mistakes are what makes us better ?

I’ve made the same mistake on FB. It was a 5 day promotional campaign with a total budget of $1.2k. I accidentally put it on daily. Didn’t check my campaign after launching lol I’m an idiot. I ended up spending 500% of the budget. I had to tell my boss immediately and we figured it out. Ended up coming out as a loss from the company but hey you live and learn. It happens all the time. Just learn from your mistakes!
