I grew 3 Instagram accounts in different niches over 30 days. Here’s exactly what worked
Been managing a few Instagram accounts recently. Here’s what actually worked over the last 30 days
i’ve been working on a few different IG accounts across completely different niches and thought i’d share what’s actually been working lately because i see a lot of outdated advice still floating around
case 1: barber (started in his garage)
start: 321 followers | 2.9k profile visits
30 days later: 3,064 followers | 169.5k profile visitscase 2: DJ trying to go international
start: 3,135 followers | 99.7k profile visits
30 days later: 4,983 followers | 135.3k profile visitscase 3: ecommerce brand (pre-launch waitlist)
start: 485 followers | 72.4k profile visits
30 days later: 2,206 followers | 268k profile visitsDM me for screenshot link for all 3 accounts here (before + after) so you can see the full picture (can't post imgur links on this subreddit)
what’s been working (nothing crazy)
honestly most of it comes down to doing simple things properly and consistently
• posting consistently (mix of reels + carousels)
• staying active on stories every day
• having a clear reason for people to follow / take actionwe didn’t try to overcomplicate content just focused on making it relevant to the audience and posting enough to learn what sticks
what made the biggest difference
this is the part that actually moved things
posting directly vs scheduling
we tested schedulers vs posting directly from the app and posting natively just performed better overall especially for early reach and stories
ended up just posting everything from the app and treating each account like a real person instead of automating content posting
getting in front of the right people daily
instead of relying only on content we focused on getting the accounts in front of targeted users every day
we used followfuse for this which handled daily niche engagement (follows, likes, interactions) so the accounts were consistently reaching new people
this was different depending on the goal
• barber → local people nearby
• ecommerce → people already following similar brands
• DJ → people in the city he wants to perform init made growth way more consistent because you’re not just waiting on the algorithm
also noticed it increased the chances of content taking off since more targeted people were seeing the page daily
turning attention into actual results
we focused a lot on what happens after someone engages
followfuse also helped with sending out humanized messages to new followers and managing basic outbound/inbound DMs so we could actually convert attention into bookings/sales instead of just gaining followers
DM flows + comment triggers
we used manychat for this to trigger DMs from comments like
• “launch” → sends offer
• “booking” → sends detailsthis removed a lot of friction and kept everything inside instagram
for the ecommerce brand specifically this was huge and drove a big portion of the sales within the first 48 hours
none of this is groundbreaking but stacking it properly over 30 days made a big difference
curious if anyone else has seen similar results or is testing something different right now
