How would you structure new brand launches on Google ads and why?

Posted by ScaleExtreme on November 12, 2025 at 4:12 am

I'm curious about how how others would structure this. We've got a pipeline of new brands to launch on Google and would love to hear others opinions.

Assuming a daily budget of $100 and 100 SKU's. No data at all, no customer lists. No nothing. All completely fresh.

How would you optimally set this up for 30 days of testing?

    – 1 Pmax with one asset group?

    – 1 Pmax with multiple asset groups?

    – 1 Pmax, 1 Search?

    – 1 Straight Shopping?

    – Something else?

Make it as simple as possible with basic shopping and search campaign split budget 70% on shopping and 30% on search . After month then scale them through segmentation and add new campaign types like pmax

I’d start with a straightforward Shopping campaign for the first 30 days. With 100 SKUs and no data, you need to see which products actually sell. Pmax is too much of a black box when you don’t know your winners yet. Put the full $100 into Standard Shopping. This gives you clean data on search query intent and product performance. Once you have that foundation, you can layer in search or test Pmax with your best-sellers.
