  • How to turn off job postings from a Facebook business page

Hello! My apologies if this goes against Rule 4. I work for a nonprofit, and one of our deliverables is connecting people to healthcare jobs. Recently, we’ve started posting job listings from our partners on our Facebook page.

The issue is that Facebook automatically turns any post with certain wording into a job posting for our organization. I was able to convert it back into a regular photo and text post last week, but not this week. For instance “Our partner, Hospital A, is looking to hire a nurse. Please visit (link) for more information.” -> job posting for us. It’s the first sentence that sets it off.

I’m trying to avoid any confusion about who’s hiring, and the photo does clearly say Hospital A is hiring. Is there a way to turn off job posting entirely, or should I just keep rewording my posts?

Have you tried turning off the Jobs tab under your page settings?

So frustrating, I spent an hour trying to post with a link back to our business page and FB kept auto turning it into a job posting. No option to decline, turn off or cancel. Just did it, so I would have to close the job in jobs manager, delete the post on the page and then go to settings on turn off the jobs tab. Every time. I tried different phrasing, I tried with and without a link, no matter what it would turn the page post into a job post and then the job tab would auto turn on in the page settings. It is infuriating.
