  • How to price social media management services across multiple platforms (agencies working with clients)

Posted by seohelper on February 28, 2021 at 3:18 am

Specific question for freelancers or agencies. Curious how you price out services for social media management across multiple channels? My agency has been doing one flat fee for a client’s primary platform (ie. Instagram) and then including cross posting (to FB, Pinterest, etc) for free.

Seems like that isn’t the best strategy… is there a better way to price this?

    Thanks for your thoughts!

I no longer offer SMM but when I did, I offered packages. X number of dollars for posting daily during the week for up to 3 channels and then larger packages for additional channels as needed. The first month was priced higher but included setting up their channel, adding graphics, etc. I found even if they had existing accounts, they were usually ready for a change to their branding so clients were always good with the setup fee. At that time, packages started at $499/month.

If the client wanted more frequent posting, I’d quote those based on their needs rather than having a fixed price posted on my website.

Depends of you’re paid and/or organic. It should be based on hours per platform, plus all things that go into running social like copy, creating assets, moderation, engagement, etc. You should also have line items for things that may not be a regular thing like strategy and research, and don’t forget about reporting, meetings, communications, etc.

For paid, it should be hours and a percentage of media spend or on a sliding scale based on performance.

Sprout Social has a great white paper on pricing, would recommend downloading it.

I have a SAAS type pricing layout. The basic, the premier (most popular), and the enterprise. My services include x posts a month, all custom content (I show up on site with all of my professional photography gear), and engagement. Each pricing tier usually adds one more service than the previous plus additional posts a month

Are there still real agencies that can help instagram accounts get more followers? I only find scam or bot pages
