How to monetise Facebook
Posted by on September 14, 2025 at 4:48 pmI run a social media account but I mainly focus on Twitter. I want to start using my Facebook more though and I’m unsure on how monetisation works.
I have a page with 32k followers and a group with 242.8K members. I am currently on the waiting list for meta verification if this makes a difference.
Does Facebook pay directly like Twitter or is the only way to make money through independently gained advertisements?

Facebook does have some direct monetisation options but they are not as widespread as on Twitter. Most people make money through brand deals or running their own ads in groups and pages. Verification can help you get access to more features but it’s not strictly required.

Concentrate on producing engaging content that attracts advertisers or simply use Facebook Shops if you have something to sell.

FB doesn’t really pay out the way Twitter does. Most creators earn through ads (in-stream, branded content) or sponsorships. With your numbers though, you should definitely be able to monetize once you’re verified and set up right.

Since you mainly focus on Twitter, can you share some details of how you are making money with Twitter and is having around 10K followers on Twitter good enough to make any money?
