How to keep track of entries on instagram giveaways, and other logistical questions?

I’m a new social media assistant (although there is no comms or social media team so technically I’m not “assisting” anyone..) at a non profit.
We are seriously lacking in followers so I figured a giveaway could be a great idea. Boss is all over it, just need to clarify the practical aspects – ex. I know it’s typical to use a random number generator, but what if I wanted to include stories as an extra entry? So tagging additional friends = extra entry and story share = one more entry. I wouldn’t be able to count that as an extra number, right?
I’m also wondering how I would go about announcing the winner when the only contact info is Instagram and I know it’s typical for people to make fake accounts pretending to message the winner.
I would love if any of you know of a good guide post for insta giveaways, I can’t seem to find a good article spelling out the details clearly.
