I work on a mobile app. I want to grow it through Tiktok organic. My first videos keep getting 100-400 views. I make high quality content. Is it normal? Bcz I look to my competitors accounts they got over 1000 views in their first videos. If you have knowledge about this pls lemme know.

I have same issue, i feel it is very common. Its rare when one of my organic videos hoes beyond 1000 views… I don’t feel its just a content issue

100-400 views in the first weeks is totally normal, the algorithm tests your content on small batches before deciding to push it wider. Focus on the first 2 seconds of every video because thats where most people swipe away. I started using Cliptalk to crank out more test videos faster and it helped me figure out what hooks actually work without spending hours editing each one.

100–400 views on early posts is actually pretty normal.

TikTok usually pushes new videos to a small test audience first. If the engagement signals are strong (watch time, rewatches, comments, shares), it expands the reach. If not, it stops around a few hundred views.

A few things that usually matter more than “video quality”:

    • Hook in the first 1–2 seconds
    • Watch time / completion rate
    • Retention curve (people staying until the end)
    • Posting consistently so the algorithm learns your niche

Also keep in mind that competitor accounts may have older accounts, existing followers, or reposted content that already performed somewhere else.

Most creators see a lot of videos stuck under 500 views before something suddenly takes off.

Consistency + testing different hooks tends to matter more than the first few posts.

High quality is subjective, but retention rate is math; stop blaming the algorithm for videos that aren’t keeping people from scrolling.
