Useless, build your brand in other ways, who the hell will be going over your fscebook tabs to click.

Better: you could stop worrying about ‘getting backlinks’, and instead write a FB note that people want to share, it goes viral and you earn yourself a dozen organic, natural backlinks from people who loved your post.

I think many SEOs do not appreciate how creativity can bring you benefits that could equal or surpass the benefits of dofollow links.

Nofollow links may not help with your search rankings in the same way dofollow links do, but it doesn’t mean they are useless when it comes to getting visitors to your website.

    1. Nofollow links may not help you get found in search results but people who see it could still end up on your site, which ultimately is the whole point of SEO. Getting a nofollow link from the Huffington Post in a blog post that readers find helpful will get loads of visitors to your website.
    2. When those visitors get to your website, they will convert in the same way as visitors you get through search engines will, assuming that the nofollow link is from a post that attracts a similar audience as yours.
    3. Also, when these visitors end up on your website, they could find other content that they like and send you a dofollow link from their websites, which will aid your climb up the search rankings. Dofollow links you wouldn’t have got if you hadn’t had that nofollow one.

So nofollow links have their uses 🙂
