  • How to align expectations & choose best agency?

Posted by seohelper on May 11, 2021 at 1:16 pm

My business has finally reached the maximum growth I’m willing to have on third-party websites (Etsy, Amazon, etc). I’m currently working towards directing my sales to my own domain but am really struggling to find an SEO expert that I trust.

My knowledge is limited when it comes to SEO and although I’m reading through articles every morning, I’m having a hard time going with any of the SEO “experts” or agencies that I’ve interviewed.

The best agency I found gave me a really detailed proposal, and I was almost ready to work with them, but one of their big methods is using paid backlinking which seems to be a no-go in Google’s webmaster guidelines.

I’m really lost and exhausted trying to sort through everything. Any advice on how I should proceed further?

I typically have a better sense of how to align my expectations, but all of the ‘best SEO techniques’ are starting to make my head spin. I’m so skeptical of every company, but want to feel confident in who I choose.

    > big methods is using paid backlinking

Look, man, if you want to follow Google’s opaque guidelines that’s on you. The reality is, if you want to run an e-commerce business and gain traffic, you aren’t going to get away from purchasing links.

The other option is that you spend tons of money creating groundbreaking content and then pray that when you outreach people want to link to it.. but chances are that isn’t going to happen.

Paid backlinks fuel the entire internet. It seems scary at first, but if you learn more about SEO, you’ll realize that everything has a price.

No matter how good the product it is you sell, why would someone want to link to you so YOU profit? In the end, even if you get away from paid backlinks, you still end up having a value exchange. Links have value, period.

They all used paid backlinking dude. Everyone does. You can guarantee your competitors do. Go about it in the right way and you’ll be fine.
