How should I change the content title/URL?
Posted by on May 7, 2020 at 2:58 pmHello, I want to change the URLs of some of my content. However, I am afraid that this content will be perceived as duplicate content by Google after changing its URLs. How can I change the URLs of my content without harming my website’s SEO?

Are these pages already ranking? If not go ahead, just 301 redirect them
If they are already ranking and been around for a bit of time, do not bother changing them ,if you do 301 redirect them but you may lose more than you gain

Why? Is it really that important, or do you want to just because?

301’s will ensure the search engines know the content has been permanently moved to a new URL.

If you set up your 301’s correctly, and use canonical tags, Google will figure it out.
