How Our Team Launched a Pay-Per-Call Campaign on Facebook

Posted by ernoldri on November 4, 2025 at 1:20 pm

Hey everyone – our team at LanderLab recently ran our first Pay-Per-Call campaign on Facebook, and we documented the full process from setup to optimization.

We wanted to share what actually worked for us and how we tied all the pieces together:
    • Ringba for call tracking and routing (we set up dynamic number pools and tracked each call session).
    • LanderLab to build and host mobile-optimized landing pages with dynamic phone numbers.
    • ClickFlare to connect Facebook traffic, track conversions, and push events back via Conversion API.

The campaign we tested was in the Debt Consolidation vertical – a highly competitive niche – and we learned a few key lessons:
    • Facebook’s demographic + behavioral targeting is still strong for this type of offer.
    • Tracking call duration (not just volume) gives a clearer picture of quality.
    • Listening to call recordings helped us optimize ad copy and pre-qualify better callers.

We break down every step – from creating the Ringba routing plan to setting up ClickFlare events and launching Facebook ads — in this guide:

Curious if anyone here has also tested Pay-Per-Call with Facebook or Google Ads – how are you tracking call quality and optimizing for better conversions?

Great insights! Thanks for sharing the full breakdown tracking call duration and listening to recordings are definitely key for optimizing Pay-Per-Call campaigns.

Thanks for sharing! There is very little out there how to track paypercall campaigns and showing how to do it with ClickFlare is really useful

Facebook pulls too many unwanted clicks or leads. In debt consolidation it is important the customer looking to consolidate his debt must be working somewhere or the lead is useless. I have been generating debt consolidation leads for more than 2 years at $50k+ spent monthly using Google Ads. I did tried more than you have mentioned here using FB but received more junk as compared to Google Ads. Also to be noted I am using an agency account with Google which is far more trusted than normal account. Happy to share screenshots but do not want to create unnecessary spam backlinks just like yours.
