  • How often do you use ChatGPT?

    Hey y'all!

A freelance social media manager/content creator over here. I recently was working under someone that relied heavily on ChatGPT to do the heavy lifting when it came to copywriting and post curation. I dabble in use here and there, mainly to help tighten a caption when necessary, but have restrained myself from using the platform any further. It feels like a slippery slope + the cadence of ChatGPT is just so, so obvious – from the excessive dashes, to the repetitive phrasing.

I'm curious as to what all your opinions are on the usage of ChatGPT in the workplace? How often do you implement it into your work, and when is too much?

IMO dabbling here and there to tighten a caption or get a few versions of the same idea to play with is a great use of ChatGPT for social. You’re wise to avoid over relying on it… It takes all of 2 seconds to identify AI posts at this point.

I could never use it for any kind of writing I’ve been reading novels since I was a child. GPT’s writing is so easy to pick out. I do occasionally use it to help me outline processes. My brain is terrible at the steps between start and finish, so it’s a huge help. Especially with a new thing.

I have never used it for work, nor do I plan on it. I do use it for fun things like putting me into space or whatever.

I barely use it at work – only occasionally if I need to clarify something. Most of the time, I just Google things instead.

It’s too much when you take ChatGPT’s every word as accurate. It pulls information very quickly so it’s great as a starting point to get ideas, and drafts – but editing it to be unique and vetting is a must. It’s alarming when people even take Google AI’s summary as accurate when they Search.

And knowing what information NOT to input into the LLMs – just assume the LLMs has no concept of what information can’t be shared with other users, unless you are using a private self-hosted LLM.

I have tried using it before and i only really use it as a tool to kind of ignite my creative brain and give me more ideas. Anything ive ever really asked it ive just taken with a grain of salt and built on top of it

Everyday. As I get older knowing minor and minutia code items leaves me in the dark. I find the search results compared to google are clear and without sponsored content, and a regurgitated link dump.

I use it in my day job but my boss wants us using AI wherever we can. I do, however, frequently spot incorrect and inaccurate information that it generates so wouldn’t rely on it for anything

I block every social media account that is obviously using chatGPT. Be original.

Get on it, start creating GPTs and Agents , feed it your work. Create a tone of voice, avatars, diaries, etc. The genie is out of the bottle, get on board asap. I totally get wanting to stay authentic and ethical, but you have to wield it like a tool. Like it or not the train has left the station. You’re going to have a sub section that rejects it because they can tell it’s AI but the majority, your audience, can not or don’t care. We’re entering a whole new world, fast. It makes me sad but it’s the truth.

I often use ChatGPT to organize steps, but I only use my own tone.
