How many clicks is enough before a bidding strategy change?

Posted by seohelper on July 2, 2020 at 8:00 pm

Hey guys just looking for some feedback. Scenario is you’re running a campaign, starting bid strategy is maximize clicks to get traffic running to the page. Ads have been running for about a month, generated around 4500 impressions, 274 clicks and 26 conversions.

Would you say this campaign has enough data to now switch to a maximize conversions bid strategy? If so why and if not why not?

    Thanks in advance!

It’s enough data for changing strategy. You have more than 15 conversions in past 30 days – you can use automatic strategies. The number of clicks would be higher for changing (I prefer around 300 to make a decision) but the number of conversions makes all data you need.

The better question is why would you change strategy while you are getting 9-10% conversion rate?

Seconded, those metrics are solid. I’d copy what you have now, make the changes you want and keep the first going as a benchmark.
