How I improved my SEO skills in 2021?
Posted by on July 26, 2021 at 3:22 pmI’m not an SEO magician, but I’ve succeeded to rank content on completely new domains for several of my sites and customers this year.
I owe my results to discovering fantastic tools and individuals to follow available on the internet freely, so here are some of the ideas that truly helped me raise my SEO skills.
#1 – Do relevant keywords research and SERP analysis.
This is crucial. Essentially, this is all about:
· Identifying keywords for which you can rank: I use the Keyword Golden Ratio algorithm for this. This formula was created by Doug Cunnington, so if you’re interested in this topic, I recommend visiting his website.
· Understanding search intent entails matching your content to what the user is looking for. Ahrefs has an excellent post on search intent (simply search ahrefs + search intent to get it).
· Learning to evaluate the complexity of a keyword by examining the site’s backlink profile, on-page SEO, and so on.
#2 On-Page SEO
Gone are the times when all you had to do to rank was pack your keyword hundred times into your article…
If you’d like to learn how to produce SEO-optimized material that is also entertaining to read, I personally suggest Backlinko’s site and especially the articles “On-Page SEO: The Definitive Guide” and “SEO Copywriting: The Definitive Guide.”
#3 Broken link building
Replacing a link that was already displayed is way easier than trying to display a totally new one in another website, it’s why broken link building is a very good SEO strategy. Furthermore, it allows you to get impactful links from high authority websites way more easily because:

1. It’s a link replacement, not a link creation
2. The link query is more willing to succeed as you help them
3. You can create content that they’re interested in rapidly (check the previous historical version of the 404 error page to recycle or create your own content)I found many relevant info on linkub blog with the article “Broken Link Building Tactic” and “Outreach guide for broken link building” that I recommend you to read.
#4 Link-building
Creating amazing content isn’t enough…
Backlinks are also required if you would like your content to rank.
Backlinks are formed when one website connects to another: the objective is to have as many pertinent websites in your field link to your blog article as possible.
I’m not thinking about spamming things like blog commenting or pressuring blog owners for guest articles, but rather about putting your information in front of individuals who are genuinely interested in sharing it.
There are a thousand publications on the subject, but if you want genuinely unique techniques, I recommend Matthew Woodward’s and Robbie Richards’ blogs.
#5 Advanced SEO
Once you’ve mastered the fundamentals, you can go on to more complex methods such :
· SEO on the technical level
· Markup for schemas
· Optimisation of snippets
· EAT
