  • how i grew a marketplace traffic by 843% in 6 months

    so the client had a decent da (75+) but their content strategy was pretty scattered. some seo-focused posts, some random stuff, no real system.

    what was implemented:
    – mapped existing topical authority to find strengths
    – focused on buyer-intent keywords instead of vanity traffic
    – created detailed content briefs for consistency
    – built quality backlinks (dr 50+)

    since the domain was already solid, we could target competitive terms like "best graphic design software" and actually compete.

    results after 6 months:
    – organic traffic up 843%
    – estimated ppc value of that traffic: ~$165k monthly
    – organic revenue increased 340%

    one thing that worked really well: targeting "photoshop alternatives" ended up ranking for tons of long-tail variations automatically. basically one keyword doing the work of an entire cluster.

    this approach seems to work best for marketplace/comparison sites where users search "best X for Y" before purchasing decisions.

    curious if others have seen similar results with this type of keyword clustering strategy? what's worked for you with comparison content?

    Sounds like a great strategy. I like how you adapted the strategy to their existing performance, relevance and niche. Sounds like their site was poised perfectly for targeted SEO. They had the natural authority, brand, quality, but were missing that mapping / clustering to bring it all together.. that’s all I’ve got, this is how it’s supposed to work. Awesome work!

    And I think absolute fluffy BS talk.

    I see this, “organic revenue increased 340%” and I’m very impressed. They must think you people are gold bricks.

    what was the time span on this? because if it took like 18 months, the headline is doing heavy lifting.
