How do you mix up your ads within an ad group?

Posted by seohelper on August 24, 2021 at 3:43 pm

I’m fairly new to Google Ads and SEO in general, my boss assigned me with the task of experimenting with new GA strategy since our campaigns historically haven’t had the best performance. I’ve done quality keyword & competitive research, segmented each product to separate different campaigns (3 total), and have 4-5 ad groups within each campaign (each with different focus). However I am struggling to find effective ways to create several engaging ads within an ad group. Right now I only have 1-2 responsive search ads in my groups, and I know that I need more in order for Google to effectively optimize.

I know it varies wildly by industry, but what are some good strategies or general rules of thumb you would recommend?

    Appreciate any help. Thanks.

It’s possible that you could just make a couple really good responsive search ads in all honesty. Google seems to be leaning toward just those, I actually had an account I manage have the option for an expanded text ad taken away and all I could create was RSA’s.

Basically, you don’t necessarily need ETA’s to optimize effectively.

Look at what competitors are doing…. how can you make your ads standout? Why are customers buying from you… talk about that in ads.
