  • How do you get keyword volumes for sex / adult topics?

    Hey everyone,

I have a very practical question about keyword research in sex / adult related topics.

A few months ago I was able to check search volumes for keywords in this niche (beginner questions, comparisons, etc.).
Now when I try again, most tools either block the keywords, show “no data”, or everything is grouped into very vague ranges.

I’m not asking if people search for this, I know they do. I just don’t know anymore how to actually get the keyword volumes.

    So my questions is:
Which tools still work for keyword volumes in adult niches?

Would appreciate any real experience with this.

    PS:
Context: I’m working on a project related to sex toy/pleasure discovery, and keyword data would help me understand the landscape better. Not trying to promote anything, just doing research.

    Thanks!

You don’t actually need search volumes to do seo. It’s a common novice trap to believe search traffic values from seo tools

I built an n8n workflow to pull XML files from a supplier who provides zero SEO, keywords, or usable content. Once the file is retrieved, it runs through an AI step that generates optimized keywords and content based on insights from GSC, Google Analytics, and Google Merchant data. Having a well written prompt is critical for getting good results.

After that, the output is converted into JSON and imported into Strapi, which then exposes everything through its API for the frontend to consume.

There are also plenty of solid SEO guides and discussions in this subreddit that walk through best practices if you want to fine-tune the process or validate your approach.

Semrush works pretty well. I’m working with a client in the bdsm niche and haven’t run into any search queries that seemed to be blocked.

It may depend on how explicit you go though.
