  • How do you actually get content into Google Discover?

We’ve seen a couple of our pages show up in Google Discover, but it felt completely random — we don’t really understand how it works.

Our current format is very standard: a page or blog post optimized for a specific keyword. But I get the sense that for Discover it’s more about trends or topical relevance, and that search volume isn’t really the key factor.

Right now we’re a bit lost. Has anyone here experimented with this? What are the most important things to focus on to appear in Discover more consistently?

Discover is basically Google’s social feed algorithm. It learns from individual user behavior patterns – what they click, how long they stay, what they share

Your content needs to trigger emotional responses. Controversial takes, surprising data, or contrarian opinions perform way better than safe, generic advice

Yeah, Discover’s less about keywords and more about freshness + engagement. Write on trending topics, use eye-catchy images (big ones, 1200px wide), and make your titles click-worthy without being clickbait.

Also, E-E-A-T signals (author info, trust, expertise) help a lot. It’s not random—it rewards content people are likely to engage with right now.
