  How common is it for influencers to pay for followers or “growth”?

  Hey everyone! I run a travel account on Insta and TikTok; Progress has been slow but steady… nothing crazy. Recently I’ve noticed some new accounts in my niche blowing up to 10k followers in 1–2 months. Their content is ok, but nothing that different from the others. I suspect they’re using some kind of agency or growth service. What are these agencies people use, and do they actually work? How common is it for influencers to pay for followers or “growth”? who has experience with this? Thanks!
