In our media company (imagine WaPo, cnn etc) we had around 14 people. 1 dedicated person for each big brand (15 posts per day or more, FB and IG) two people in “support” roles (cutting videos, creating animations) one community manager, one sales person and one person managing several small brands.

I think the size and needs of the client can vary so much.

We have a team of 3, managing 5 clients total. This is for all social platforms.

I work for a big tech company doing paid social. We have 15+ marketers doing paid social, and a team of engineers to support. I don’t have visibility on the size of the organic social teams, but largely it seems each internal “business” has at least one organic social person. I personally work on 10+ ad accounts, and my peers range from 2-10+ ad accounts.

Just me – 2 IG, 3 FB, 2 Twitter, 2 Linkedin, 1 Pinterest and I do all the content and growth for all of them on top of a regular job and my side gig. I have no spare time and no life.
