How are you guys dealing with the IOS 14 update with facebook ads?

Posted by seohelper on June 4, 2021 at 7:12 pm

Our facebook ads have been in shambles since the update. Barely able to get sales on my Shopify store after averaging about 20ish a day. When we do get sales we are losing money. I sell low ticket items in a specific niche. The average order value is usually $15-$45.

I thought this only affected in-store apps?

I fired up my account after a 6-month break from Facebook and with some fresh video ads, automatic placements, and no targeting, my CPAs are lower than they ever have been.

We’re doing fine. The key is your offer and creatives and investing into good video. anyone trying to rely on mediocre creatives is not gonna survive

LOL my conversion tracking never even worked before ios14. I’ve got a ticket dating back 6 months where they keep saying they will help me with it but they never do. I would definitely pay someone to take a look at it and fix it if some pro is reading this comment.

Apparently, there are a lot of advertisers struggling since the iOS14 update, but we’ve been seeing steady results, if not even better. It has also been a great month for a bunch of our customers, so I wouldn’t say the iOS14 update has affected us in any way so far.

We actually analyzed over 100 different ad accounts a week before and a week after the update took effect and **didn’t see any significant changes in the CR or CAC**. Here’s the [link](https://lebesgue.io/2021/quick-look-at-ios-14-update-affecting-facebook-cac-and-cr/?utm_campaign=social&utm_medium=reddit&utm_source=ios14) to the analysis in case you’re interested in seeing the results. Could be too early to make firm conclusions, so we’re definitely going to repeat the analysis in the following weeks.

Btw, I work at a company where we developed a digital marketing [app](https://apps.shopify.com/advertising-insights?utm_campaign=social&utm_medium=reddit&utm_source=dealing14) to help eCommerce businesses follow industry best practices and get actionable insights on their data. There’s a bunch of other awesome features that you can get access to in your free trial, including a **free ad account** audit where our growth experts analyze your current account situation and generate a personalized report with key findings and suggestions on how to improve results.

If you’re struggling with your current adv results or you’re interested in getting a second opinion on your data, I’d highly recommend you give it a try 🙂 We already helped a bunch of other businesses improve results and ROI so I truly believe there’s an opportunity for anyone who’s been seeing poor results.
