Honest Thoughts on the Instagram Summit × ManyChat
Is anyone on the Virtual 2-day event? It's day 2 today, and it's pretty lit. The energy is up. I’m watching the IG Summit × ManyChat right now, and honestly, it’s good — but I keep wishing they’d go deeper into the real stuff that makes these brands and creators successful. Everyone’s talking about strategy, engagement, automation, growth hacks… but what about the internal systems that make all of that work?
Like, what kind of team did they actually build to get here? Who did they hire first and like when did they know they needed help… when tehy started getting paid or did they have to invest first ?
Did they hire a business person, or a videographer or a producer? Or someone managing partnerships? How long did they work on the “startup” side of things before they actually made money? Did they hire people as 1099 or W2?
I’d love to hear the structure behind the actual build up — the community, the workflow, the operations, not just the social side.
It always feels like these panels stop just short of giving the most valuable insight: what does it really take to build the machine?
If you’ve ever built or managed a social team, what did that look like for you? What roles or systems made the biggest difference — and how long did it take before you felt like it was actually sustainable?
