Hiring for low budget test campaign for Google Search/Shopping Ads

Posted by Artistic_Counter592 on July 20, 2024 at 10:55 pm

No clue what I'm doing, so I'd like to run a few low budget test campaigns – like $500/m or so. I don't have high expectations, I'd like to get an idea if we can make this work for us.

We have a decent margin, but no idea about the cost of clicks.

So depending on industry that’s not going to be enough to test, and most professionals are going to cost you as much if not more than that.

I’d look into a coach to get you set up properly and teach you how to run it but that’ll cost you similar to what your budget is.

However, kudos to you for knowing you don’t know enough to test yourself (genuinely!)

With this budget, it’s better to invest in yourself.

Read up, learn the basics, run your campaign, and if you feel like you hit a wall, you can consider hiring someone to guide you, whether it’s for actual campaign management or further learning.

Even if you had cheaper then average CPCs for what you sell, that is barely going to be enough as a monthly budget. $16/day would not likely get you 1 conversion per day, which is the minimum you would want to aim for. You are better off at $1,000 per month to start and that is scraping by. Even if you know what you are doing, you need room to test different ideas and theories on what will work and what will sell via Google shopping ads. You can use [Google’s keyword planner](https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/7337243?hl=en) to get an idea of CPCs.

None of this takes into account hiring someone, which you should not do because your budget is way too low. Anyone with a dirt cheap rate just wants your business, when the budget won’t make tons of sense. You have no room for mistakes at $500 per month. Our team is running shopping ads in 50+ countries and see the highs and lows of working with all sorts of budgets across the world. We see brands struggle even at $2,000 per month for shopping ads

some low income weirdo is just going to agree to take your money and you’re going to lose and gain nothing.

    you’re better off educating yourself.

I would love to help you, but I don’t work for you and you don’t pay me.

If it’s $500 per campaign and you want to test 3 or 4 campaigns, feel free to reach out. I’ll charge you $500 for it though. That’s my starting rate.
