Helping 5 websites get cited on Wikipedia for free
I’ve been experimenting with improving the visibility and credibility of my own site, and recently managed to get it cited on Wikipedia in a relevant context. It’s been a great learning experience, and now I’d like to give back to the community by helping a few other websites explore similar opportunities.
Comment with:
• What your website does (DON’T include link!)
• Your niche
• Why you think it could serve as a factual reference
I’ll pick a few that are a good fit (Wikipedia has strict relevance rules, so not every site will qualify).
For example, you are a timezone, or a weather website or a festivals website that can be used as reference on wikipedia.
Note: Your website is at least 6 months old, and holds a good grip about a particular topic. For example, only one article about a particular festival wont get you a link from wikipedia, unless you cover loads of other festivals as well. This ensures that your website actually knows about that field, and you haven’t just created a single page just to be offered as a citation source.
