Have any other Instagram Creators been loosing followers lately? I have 48K followers and I have been loosing consistently 46-52 followers every day for the past week or so. Is this happening to anyone else? Just want to hear so I can determine if it’s instagrams fault or my own

From participating in one of those “engagement groups” who like and comment on each other’s post to asking for anyone in your close circle to engage with your content. Just curious.

Ive noticed a lot of people with fake followers (who I know of) have lost thousands of followers. Im not saying you bought fake followers, but most big accounts have some form or another. It could be those fake accounts.

Don’t know your account size, but on one of my bigger side accounts, I loose more per day due to instagram daily cleaning, in form of accounts getting deleted etc. Than I have followers on my private account. That being said, I gain a whole lot more, so overall the follower count is growing.

It might be Instagram deleting inactive accounts or bots.

reason for that are either inactive accounts or bots or people deleting social media and going to other places like Vero and pixelfed. They want to leave Facebook. I wouldn’t worry about number of followers and stuff like that. You want to build a natural following which is about quality not quantity.

There are a lot of “Follow for follow” accounts, who follow you and then unfollow you whether or not you follow them back.

A lot of these are blank accounts or have a couple of photos which I find uninteresting (your mileage may vary).

Either way, it’s just a numbers game and I’d rather people follow me for my content than just increase the follower count and have low engagement.

Yes, I was growing by about 5k followers a day now I receive 300 a day. It’s the combination of 3 factors.

New messaging rules in europe that decreased reach

And new year resolutions and people cleaning up their following list

Do not worry, this shouldn’t last long, just continue to post like before. Do not adopt bad practices that could compromise your account by searching to increase your exposure and you will be ok.

Growth is like waves, they come and go, if you continue to do it right growth will come back.
