When it does, it does great, when it doesn’t, it’s a total waste of money. That’s just the nature of Seo. The agency you’re planning to hire can generate 50 MQLs a month (let’s just believe they can), but it’ll be a complete shitshow if your sales team get overwhelmed or won’t be able to actively follow up on the leads. Saying this from personal experience, I generated some 100+ leads for the company I was working with last year, but they had only two sales persons, hardly any inbound lead was followed up. In my new company, they have like 4 sales mangers, on average, they turn 2 out 5 MQLs into SQLs. Hope this helps, best of luck.

Find out what you’ll get for that money. It doesn’t matter how much you pay, if it’s worthwhile and if you see the return of investment on that, then it’s worth it.

Did they tell you roughly what you’ll get for your invested money or a timeline of what they plan to improve? Typically, I would imagine it will start with an audit and a list of items to fix or improve. That will be done over a period of time, and you might also look at improving the existing content and adding new content on the site to cover any topic gaps that you might have, etc

If you run an ecommerce business and the agency tells you the strategy is to publish blog posts/content articles, walk away

Ps: I run a 20 million dollars a year online business
